Job estimates & Progress payments

For some industries like construction, it is vital to keep track of jobs and their progress payments. The QuickBooks native report does not make it easy to track the payments for the ongoing jobs.
This Advanced Reporting template will help you keep a tab on the progress payments for current & active estimates of the job.

This is a summary report but if you need detail report then please contact us by selecting the “Custom” option from the Report Type drop-down.

Description

Job estimates and progress invoicing are used by many industries like the construction industry to track their work. These businesses receive payments against the progress invoices. The payments keep coming in part as and when invoices generated and once the estimate is fully invoiced then estimates become inactive.

During this whole process, if businesses need to track the payments for each active job, then QuickBooks native reports do not help much. The native report “Job Progress Invoice vs. Estimates” shows the estimates and it’s progress.
But what if you want to know the payments made towards these jobs. The QuickBooks native reports can help you with it, but you may need to run another report or export more than one report to Excel and do data manipulation to see this information. It is not a very straightforward and smooth process.

Well, this QuickBooks Advanced Reporting template shows this insight in an instant.

  1. You can find total payments made against one job.
  2. You can categorize jobs by their status and class.
  3. You can filter the jobs by the dates on the estimates.
  4. You also find the progress invoices.
